Description

Cole, Richard

Art print depicting Richard T Cole’s interpretation of Aleister Crowley’s instantly recognisable and iconic self portrait as the Master Therion, which Richard mischievously titled “Medallion Man?. One of only two prints made. A1 (841 x 594 mm or 33.1 x 23.4 inches) size, professionally printed using an eight colour process on heavy 200gsm satin finish art paper. The printer describes the quality as “truly amazing.” The print is in pristine condition with absolutely no defects or imperfections. This art print should not be confused with the poster released in 1993 by “Baphomet 93 Ltd” in an edition of 666. Now out-of-print. Includes a short handwritten note from Richard describing how the item is one of two test prints created of an image intended for the cover of a proposed Aleister Crowley 2014 calendar which was never completed and a print-out of Richard’s four page article about Crowley’s art published in the first issue of Zhoupheus magazine (titled “RT for C’s sake – An Automatic Sketch of Subconscious Impressionism) mentioned in the note. Four small (approx 5 x 3 inches) prints of Richard’s interpretations of Crowley’s paintings mentioned in the note. One of these has suffered very slight damage to one corner.
