Aleister Crowley, Marcelo Ramos Motta
D. Stone, Washington DC, USA, 1991. Hardcover. 338 pages. Silver titles on black boards, no dust-jacket (as issued?). Small pencil bookseller notation on first leaf. This hardcover edition is dated 1991, the same as the softcover first edition issued by Society Ordo Templi Orientis, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, some years after Marcelo Mottas death in 1987. It is possible this hardcover edition may have actually been issued later. It has a new introduction and comprises chapters XIII – XXI with three appendices (rather than the eight in the paperback first edition, this is said to be in line with Marcelo Motta’s wishes). It includes an extensive index and importantly unlike the paperback edition this edition includes Motta’s commentaries. A fine copy of a fascinating work.
