Wonderful customer service and communication. This book was lost in the post on its way to Germany and Liber Al was so kind to send me a free replacement copy and paid for registered mail. The book arrived in perfect condition wrapped in plastic and a thick secure parcel.I'm so happy, thank you so much for everything!

My Pal Liber-AL.

In ancient Roman religion and mythology, Liber "the free one", known as Liber Pater ("the free Father"), was a god of viticulture and wine, fertility and freedom. Liber also refers to the word 'book' which comes from Old English "bōc", which in turn comes from the Germanic root "*bōk-", cognate to "beech". It is thus conjectured that the earliest Indo-European writings may have been carved on beech wood. Similarly, the Latin word codex, meaning a book in the modern sense (bound and with separate leaves), originally meant "block of wood". Liber AL vel Legis is the central sacred text of Thelema, allegedly written down from dictation mostly by Aleister Crowley, although his wife Rose Edith Crowley is also known to have written two phrases into the manuscript of the Book after its dictation. Liber-AL is also a fine and excellent Antiquarian books, artefacts and ephemera seller service. Their selection and commitment to the highest values make this website a go to site for quality, selection and the occasional emailed discount to encourage a return visit for purchasing more delightful books. Do what thou a book from Liber-AL. I picked up a crisp first US edition copy of The Witches' Way: Principles, Rituals and Beliefs of Modern Witchcraft by Janet Farrar & Stewart Farrar. This collector is feeling very sated.
